Our award-winning project

We are enormously proud to announce that we have won two Industry Awards for our ‘Stable House’ project.

An APL Gold Award Nationally. The Association of Professional Landscapers is a prestigious association to be part of with all landscaping companies going through a rigorous selection process to become a member, so we are hugely proud to receive this.

Marshalls Regional winner for best use of ethically sourced Fairstone, taking us in to the National finals in May of this year.

It is always wonderful to receive industry recognition as we work extremely hard to achieve a high-level quality finish across all our projects, so this really is the cherry on the top.

Outdoor Candles

We are incredibly excited to have recently joined forces with The Ruby Grace Candle Company to bring you three gorgeous scents for your outdoor entertaining. They work equally well indoors too, but with the screw top lids you don't have to worry about the rain getting in. Look out for them on our online shop with diffusers coming soon.

Tennis Court and Pavilion

We were pleased to be asked by a client to carry out landscaping works on their tennis court and bespoke build a Pavillon for them. The area required a huge amount of preparation and ground works. It has completely transformed the garden landscape. We have included some images before, during and after to see the transformation taking place.

Exciting start to 2021

Today we share an exciting new partnership with DeliVita, a British brand who hand-make their own stunning wood-fired pizza ovens. DeliVita ovens are lightweight and work on any surface, which will cook an authentic wood-fired pizza in around 90 seconds.

We look forward to continue building high-end outdoor kitchens for our clients, enhanced by the look and practicality of a DeliVita oven. The outdoor pizza oven market has grown enormously over the last few years, with more people staying at home and enjoying their gardens. This is the age of the 'Staycation'.

Outdoor Room / Home Office

As we spend more and more time in our homes people are looking now, more than ever for extra space. If you don't have the space inside why not look to build an outside room for either a home office, kids cinema room, gym or just a place to read and hide away in your own back garden. This is an outdoor room built using a steel frame base, wood timber structure and finished in cedar cladding. An outside garden room to be enjoyed all year round.

Getting ready for 2021

As we step in to 2021 we reflect on an unprecedented year of which none of us have had to deal with before. As Planet 14 we have been fortunate to have been able to continue working hard to deliver jobs for our clients, although it hasn’t been without its own set of challenges.

We start 2021 with a healthy work portfolio, we have some incredibly exciting projects in the diary on both the domestic and commercial front which we will be sharing with you as the year unfolds.

What we have learnt from 2020 is that more and more people are enjoying time in their gardens, and the need for people to entertain outside means the demand to create some stunning outside kitchen and dining areas has increased tenfold. We would like to share with you a project of our own, creating a cosy space to spend quality time with family and friends when the time allows.

Stay safe in 2021

Coastal kitchen project

Working with the clients brief we designed and built a bespoke outdoor kitchen and re-landscaped the garden. This gave them a practical space to entertain and spend more time outdoors enjoying their coastal location.

Tree supplier work trip

Having worked with Deepdale Trees for a number of years, it was an absolute pleasure to get the opportunity to visit the nursery, meet the team face to face and see the enormity of their site.

Retail site

An extensive landscaping project, we carried out the work for Rose Builders and Churchmanor Estates in Colchester, Essex. We were tasked to fulfil a high-end tree and planting scheme, creating a stunning public space to soften the surrounding retail outlets.

APL Innovation Award Winner

We are proud to have won the 2015 award for innovation from the Association of Professional Landscapers with our work for Mr and Mrs Locke’s garden. About this project: The project began with a blank canvas for us to mould.

Using recycled plastic piling we created the initial lawn area, capping off the piling with wooden sleepers and using treated timber to clad the sides. Judges Comment: "Very innovative use of the product in domestic gardens as has typically always been used in commercial sense."
